Beaux Barfield ready to rewrite the rules of the IndyCar

Beaux Barfield intends to impose a penalty of Blocking calls, more consistent and make better lines of communication between team and driver, and he will not compromise on those issues. This is part of an elaborate package intend to roll out Barfield this season after he finished rewriting the book.

“Obviously, lure for me comes down to it, is taking something that needs some fixes and a few changes, and be able to come up with the ability to write rules and actually start from the ground up,” said Barfield Wednesday when he was introduced at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Barfield replaces often criticized Brian Barnhart, who lost his control of the race in late November, although he did not retain the title of President of operations.

Barfield received a one-year deal. Anything else, IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard explains, must be approved by the Board of Directors. Bernard also said he wanted to Barfield to “earn his stripes.”

40-year-old former open wheel racer will have to rewrite all of the rules of the structure of the sentence. If competitors continued to complain, well, Bernard, understand part of the job.
